Oven Mitt

I have done a few Apron's in an hour and then came across this tutorial for an oven mitt. I thought it would be a cute matching thank you gift for my friend who made this awesome cake. The apron I made had the teal pattern as the main part and the orange was the waist band and tie part as well as the bottom border. I appliqued a cupcake on the bottom with the teal as the cupcake and the brown as the cupcake wrapper. It looked super cute.

Modge Podge

A while ago I was introduced to Modge Podge. It is a fascinating little substance. I made these letters by painting them and modge podging the pictures to them. It was weird last night it came to me that the fabulous 3M Command Strips for picture hanging would be perfect. No holes to drill or brackets needed, not to mention no holes in the walls.

Unfortunately I did this before Jackson was born so it is now out dated, but I am pretty happy with it!

Apron in an hour!

For our Relief Society Super Saturday (a craft day) one of the classes was this Apron in an hour. My friend Brittany told me the instructions were on line, so I googled "Apron in an Hour" and found the instructions. It is super cute and super easy, not to mention cheap to make, less then $3.00 given you don't have to buy thread. So here it is:

If you would like to make one here are the instructions. I am thinking of making a few and keeping them on hand for gifts. Wouldn't it be cute with a little wooden spoon recipe cards and a gift card to your favorite home store, like Williams-Sonoma?

Thanks-GIVING!

In all my blog stalking adventures, lately I have been shopping for crafts and coupons, I came across this idea at U-Create. It is a jar that has 26 things to be grateful for, each day you draw a slip of paper and it tells you what you are grateful for and something to do with "it." For example, I am thankful for my ears, listen to music today. Or I am thankful for my legs, go for a family walk. You can get the coupons all ready made at Sugardoodle.net. We started two days late but we are on the ball and ready to show gratitude. I can't wait until they draw the "I am thankful for Mom" one!!!!

My jar still needs a little TLC but it is cute enough to hold slips of paper. I am sure ribbon will be joining it soon!

The nice thing about it is that I can use it again next year!
